Re: Greens/Reformers/Libertarians
Tue, November 2, 2004 - 2:11 PMPlease please please fellow Minnesotans!!!!! DON'T VOTE FOR NADER for God's sake people.
Until we implement a runoff system, your vote for Nader IS a vote for Bush.
There is no disputing this fact. -

Re: Greens/Reformers/Libertarians
Fri, November 5, 2004 - 3:05 PMSince there was only 59% of the registered voters who actually voted, you can actually say that Bush was voted in because of all of the non-voters out there...
Sarah, no disrespect here, but I'm tired of people saying "don't vote for XXX candidate"... People need to find someone who will represent their views and vote for them. There's more political parties out there than just Republican and Democrat. It's up to each eligible voting American to find that information, and be informed. We know that the mass media won't do it for us, as they've got their pockets lined by the "big two". Maybe if more people would vote with their minds and hearts, we'll get better candidates out there for these major elections. Remember, it starts at the local level.
Don't forget, Jesse was an independent, going against two people who were in politics all of their adult lives. He got out to the people, told them what they wanted to hear, and he got elected. And although he probably won't be remembered as a great governor, he will be remembered as the state's first third-party governor, and someone who broke the mold of the normal GOP and DFL rule.

Mon, November 8, 2004 - 7:35 AMBlah blah blah. We've heard this rant a thousand times before. No disrespect J, but it wouldnt've mattered if we all "voted our hearts" anyways, b/c the majority of voters ACTUALLY VOTED FOR HIM.
Here's to four more-- breath the last of the clean air.
